How To Wear: Denim Cut Off Shorts

So I’ve been searching for shorts recently and it has inspired me to not only tell you how to pick out the best ones, but to share with you my favorites that I’ve found! There are so many cute ones that have come out lately and lots of options to choose from. So let’s get to it! Here is how to wear denim cut off shorts!

How to wear Denim Cut Offs…my TIPS:

1. Length:

Fashion is all about self expression, but I’m here to teach how to be classy, comfortable, and in style, so you need know that the length of your cut off shorts should be longer in proportion with your age.
I’m going to say that age 50 is about where you should stop wearing short shorts and they should hit at the top of your knee instead (bermuda shorts). This will be classiest.

2. Rise:

Normal rise these days is higher than it used to be a few years ago, which is great! When you have shorts on that are already showing a lot of skin from your legs, you want the rise of your cut off shorts to be higher to give you a better proportion.
There are some “high rise” shorts and they will come to about your belly button, these are super cute when worn the right way, but will not come in a bermuda style.

3. What to wear with them:

You can wear just about anything with denim shorts, just like jeans! They’ll look great with graphic tees, basic tees, and striped tees. They’ll also look great with button up shirts, tucked in, in the front only.
There are also many shoe options! Booties like above, sandals, flat knee high boots, loafers, chucks…so many options!

A lot of them are distressed these days, which is what I’ll definitely be wearing. I’ll give you some great examples of bermudas too!
